First Baptist Church of Nawong (1st church plant)

Our team arrived on April 30, 2008. We began holding services in a house with 51 on our first Sunday. From that humble beginning the Lord grew our church over the next four years to an average attendance of 300 each week with a high day of 1,118. Ministries for the men, ladies, teens, and children were started. Hundreds were saved and baptized, and lives were changed. Now many have become faithful soul winners reaching their families, friends, and neighbors.

This first church plant of ours is continuing on under the leadership of Missionary Eddie Arold and his family. It is so exciting to see the Thai converts stepping up and taking over bus routes, Sunday school classes, and other various ministries.

My Responsibilities

Some of my responsibilities in this first church plant included helping to plan and teach at our monthly ladies' meetings, teaching and developing curriculum for our language school, teaching the single ladies' Sunday school class, working on a song tau "bus" route, singing in the music ministry, and serving as the financial secretary.
